Li'l Ornament Class Added!

We've snuck another class into the schedule!

Carole's
Li'l Ornament Cover

Use those sweet Super Duos or Twins to make this ornament cover that will fit almost any ornament. This one is dressing a 1-1/2" globe, but the same cover works on larger ornaments as well. Once you make one, you'll want to make them in every color you can get your hands on. And it just so happens that we have more than thirty colors of the new two-hole beads, as well as some beautiful new glass and gorgeous shimmering daggers. Add a little crystal bling, and that is one classy little handmade gift!

Saturday, December 8, 10-noon.
Class fee: $20
Instructor: Carole Ohl
Call 640-3017 to reserve your space in class.

Kalmbach Bead Soup Party!

Not only did Stash participate in the Kalmbach Bead Soup Party by sending some soups to the group, but I personally signed up to get some soup to play with. I received a yummy concoction from Grand River Beads in Rocky River Ohio. Here is a photo of the soup ingredients and a photo of the finished necklace. Thank you Kalmbach and Eva Sherman for a delicious project!

Here is the mix that Stash sent in:

Inspiration: Bead and Button

One of Stash's 'every other Friday' regulars is Donna Glaze. She always brings her latest bead project to share. Today she wowed us with her version of Bead and Button's (October 2012) Marjan by Riana Olckers. Thanks to Donna for some big inspiration today!! (love those 457s!)

Rustic Russian Class

At the end of this morning's Rustic Russian class, we got most of the students' little 'blobs' together for a starter portrait. I hope to see all of these when they are completed. Each one is a delightful reflection of the person who made it. One pattern: endless color combinations. Great work, everyone!

Party!

Today Stash hosted a birthday party of six girls. They chose the jump ring bracelet as their project and look what a wonderful job they did! Happy birthday, Ariel!

Juicies: 2/0 Magic Beads

Our Bead of the Month is a sweet collection of size 2/0 Rocailles that are perfect for making this quick and easy Jump Ring Bracelet. These beads are plump with color and ripe for picking! Come in and choose your favorite: Lime, Flame, Raspberry or Amber.

We also have more jump rings, including some new 4mm that are great for making some 'baby' versions of the jump ring bracelet.

Seeing Beads!

There are few things as fun as getting a shipment of beads. One is a shipment of Ott lights to SEE our beads! We just unloaded some new table lamps for our classes and general playing.

We also got in some of the cute little baby Otts that are great for stuffing in your purse or traveling... we have bright pink and bright blue (the green one is mine, sorry!) Specially priced and only 7 in the store, so get them while they're here!

Bead Soup Party!

Stash is taking part in Kalmbach Publishing's Bead Soup Party. Four 'bead soup' ingredient bags go in the mail today. Can't wait to see what people will do with them! Pretty tasty stuff!

New Beauty: Mudpie Butterscotch

Our newest beautiful bead is a 4x6 rondelle called Mudpie Butterscotch. It's yummier in person than in the photo. Perfect for fall with its tones of the Pantone French Roast and Honey Golds!

Also in the rondelle 'department' is a gorgeous 7x11 amethyst blue zircon that works perfectly with all things denim! A silvery lustre makes these a color that can be used with silver or gunmetal.

Twisted Sister Fun

Saturday's Twisted Sister bracelet class was lots of fun. This design by Shelly Steffano is always a hit with its simplicity AND its versatility. Here is just one one seven bracelets made in Saturday's class. Thanks to Terri Gee for letting us photo her finished bracelet. Gorgeous! She used one of our 'marvelous mixes' and added some blue impression jasper rondelles for a little pop. Nice! I heard a few students say they were going home to make a necklace:)

Inspiration on the Loose!

It all started when Renetha Stanziano told us about a tutorial she found on a wonderful blog by Lesley Watt. (check out and like Lesley's Facebook page, because you will want to keep track of her!!)
Even though it was during our Art Doll day, when most of us work on our dolls, many of us got all ginned up with this easy and gorgeous bracelet design. This was so much fun, we've already made quite a few and are experimenting with different size of jump rings and beads. Lesley was gracious enough to let us teach her design, so if you need any help, we will be adding that to our schedule soon. We just put up lots of pretty yummy jump rings on the wall, and are expecting a stash of beautiful stones soon to use with this design. Stop in and see!
Here are a few of our pieces. The pink one is Renetha's, the 'muddy' one is Carole's, and the red quartz, well, that would be Diane McConnell's. Each one makes me want to do another six! They are easy enough that I bet I will!!
Thank you Lesley, for sharing your design, and Renetha, for lighting the fire for so much fun!

Linda Stiles Smith has created some gorgeous kits for her class, Swarovski Cluster Earrings. It's something that you just have to see in person, so come  in and pick out your favorite soon!
