Sunday, July 28 1-3pm Level: Beginner Technique: Needle and Thread Fringe Class Fee: $25 Instructor: Cathy Helmers
You may be asking, "What is a Snootie?" Our inspiration for this little critter came from The Beadwrangler'sSchmoo, who is a distant relative of the Snootie (more on that story later.) Whatever their origin, our doll form 'midwife', Renetha Stanziano, has been working hard to keep up with the Snootie demand. We've had lots of requests about a class to "dress" these little lovies, so we've put a class on the schedule for July 28. You will learn different fringe techniques to enhance your Snootie's personality. Spend a silly Sunday afternoon falling in love with a Snootie. Call 640-3017 to register for the class.
This month marks our first anniversary of serving the Dayton area beaders!
To celebrate our appreciation to all who have offered support in so many ways over the past year, AND to celebrate our love of beads, we are offering a two-week sale.
The items on sale (consignors are included!) are marked with a different colored polka dot to signify a 10, 20, 30 or 40% discount. Many of these are one-of-a kinds from our consignors, so come in early for the best selection.
Don't miss our KICK-OFF PARTY on Saturday, June 29! Everyone is invited for some open beading all day Saturday with refreshments!
Artisan Earrings: A Chain Mail Intro Class with Laura Poplin Author of Unconventional Chain Mail Jewelry
This is a great way to try the art of chain mail while creating a pair of one-of-a-kind earrings. Laura crafts all the components herself, so the kit that is included in the price of the class is unique to each student.
Saturday, May 4, 1-3pm: CLASS FILLED Added Class: Saturday June 15, 1-3pm ALL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED in this $20 class. Register early. This one will fill fast!
One of our customers asked us for apple charms so she could make jewelry gifts for her kids' teachers. So Linda Stiles Smith went into her studio and came up with these sweet polymer apples. They are available in different sizes that can be used for keychains, pendants, charm bracelets and earrings. Stop in to see these in person. They are yummy!
Look at this gorgeous brooch design by Cathy Helmers! She encased a beautiful Carolyn Harmann lampwork focal bead, then added some of our CzechMate beads to the outer edge. Stay tuned for a class in the Spring! Thanks for sharing it, Cath.
